Hey, I’m Lucy.

I’m a gut health focused nutritional therapist.

I specialise in IBS, SIBO and Functional Dyspepsia, and I’m the creator of the Brain-Body-Biome Method™ – a root-cause approach to restoring gut health.

I believe most people with gut issues don’t need more restriction – they need the right support in the right order for their brain, body and microbiome.

My work focuses primarily on:

I’m a Registered Nutritional Therapist (mANP, DipCNM – College of Naturopathic Medicine) specialising in functional digestive conditions — specifically:

• SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth)
• IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
• Functional Dyspepsia
• The gut-brain axis and nervous system regulation
• Digestive physiology and microbiome health

I combine clinical training, an addiction to reading research papers and actual lived experience to support people looking to fix functional digestive issues.

Introducing my Brain-Body-Biome Method

I tried what felt like every gut protocol in existence, but so many of them made my symptoms much worse (looking at you 4R’s protocol!). So I took matters into my own hands and over a 10 year period (featuring hours poring over research and being my own human guinea-pig) developed the Brain-Body-Biome Method™.

Brain

the gut-brain axis and nervous system regulation

Body

digestive physiology, inflammation and underlying drivers of symptoms

Biome

the gut microbiome and microbial imbalances such as SIBO

The human behind the healing…

  • My best friend is my beautiful welsh terrier, Zeus! He doubles as an excellent hoover…
  • I am a huge welsh rugby supporter.
  • My favourite pudding is tiramisu. And I passionately believe we should all be able to eat the puddings without guilt.
  • My guilty pleasure is Midsomer Murders (mostly for the gorgeous houses, not the murders!)
  • My favourite flowers are alstroemeria and daffodils. How can they not make you smile?

My story

Before I became a nutritional therapist, I was a patient (for well over half my life!)

I was diagnosed with IBS at 14 and handed daily Imodium — no explanation, no guidance, no real answers.

Over the next two decades, stress-triggered flares led to more diagnoses, more specialists, and more prescriptions. Each one seemed to create new problems: antibiotics, then NSAIDs, then PPIs — until I’d developed SIBO, Functional Dyspepsia, histamine intolerance, MCAS, rosacea and crippling anxiety. At my worst, I was down to three safe foods.

When I finally found nutritional therapy, I understood why I was struggling — but the standard protocols made things worse, not better. The conflicting advice, the restrictive diets, the lack of any structured root-cause approach — that gap is exactly why I created the Brain-Body-Biome Method™.

Your body isn’t broken.
